Family-Friendly Workplace Act reintroduced in the House

Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash) reintroduced legislation on February 10 that would amend the Fair Labor Standards Act to permit private employers to offer employees the choice of receiving paid time off in lieu of cash wages for overtime hours worked if the employee prefers to take compensatory time instead of overtime pay.   This act is similar to  the Healthy Families Act sponsored by Senator Kennedy.
